The Pro Life Supporters Believe Abortions - 1602 Words

Abortions is one of the most controversial topics in today s society; however, it s not usually discussed, which makes it hard for people to express their opinions on the topic. Growing up in a Christian family, I was always told that abortions were not a good thing. However, I also grew up being told that god did not want us to judge anyone because that was his duty not ours. So, as I got older and realized I wanted to become a doctor, my views changed on this topic because I now knew I wouldn t be able to tell someone what they could or could not do with their body. I also knew even if abortions are morally wrong in my eyes, it does not mean that they are wrong for everyone because we all have a different life growing up, different†¦show more content†¦This scripture from the Bible is used by so many Pro-life supports because it s is a statement about the capabilities of any human body that god has created, it gives an indication of our value from gods perspective, and it reveals the inestimable value, or worth, of all human life. Pro- life supporters also argue their beliefs using the idea that life starts at the moment of consumption. However, this is a question that can t be answered by science because everyone has a different view as to when life actually begins. Some may believe it was when consumption happened, some believe it is when a baby first kicks, others believe it s when the baby is viable to live outside its mother s womb, this happens to be the most debated in the science/ medical communities because the viability age has changed with the advancement of technology, the pro-choice supporters usually believe that life begins once the baby takes its first breath, which is when it s finally born. Finally, the pro-life supports argue for the decrease or abolishment of abortions because of the danger it puts both the mother and Child in. There are so many dangers that come with abortions; however, the ones pro- life members focus on are elevated risk of death and immediate health risk.
